Hi, I'm Devesh.
I'm a PhD student at MIT Sloan, where I study labor and macro economics, with a focus on the economic impact of AI. I am also a research fellow at the Institute for Work and Employment Research.
Previously, I was an economist at Goldman Sachs, where I co-authored the 2023 and 2024 global economic outlook and helped spearhead the firm's research on AI. I also help advise Democrats on economic policy.
I completed my undergraduate degree in economics and political science at the University of Chicago. These days, I split my time between Cambridge, MA and Brooklyn, NY. I write occasionally on my blog.
